Growing up, my Dad was an avid NASCAR fan. He had memorabilia all over the house, he recorded every single race, on VHS because this was before our modern technology, and he went to NASCAR events as well as small tracks around our hometown to watch dirt races and whatever other events there were. We were raised on fast cars and competition. When we were old enough he got us a go cart and we started racing, though not all that often because of travel expenses and other money needed that we just didn’t have. Eventually we had to give it up entirely. So I have always loved driving fast, racing and competing in a car. Even now, I find it difficult not to race off the line when the traffic light turns green, even when the car beside me is not of the same mind. Even when there is no car beside me. So if I could do any job for free, I would race cars.
